Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated production of "Pippin" at Broadway. The Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" in addition to was starring Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the other stars. Patina has put her own contemporary spin on the award-winning Ben Vereen's performance and was able to master the Fosse moves that are so essential to the production. Patina was awarded the Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in a Leading Role within a Musical, and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical in addition to Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award as well as Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her role. Her previous roles included the one of the Lead Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" from December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
